All musicians develop a special relationship with their instruments. As musicians grow and mature, so does their sound. Their instruments are an integral part of the sound that eventually becomes the trademark of a session player.

Some players use a variety of instruments to create a variety of sounds. Others make a single guitar or drum sound just they want simply by playing it differently. Either way, knowledge of the gear is a big part of being a good studio musician.
